About This Statement
This statement explains how Frobox handles information connected to the app. Frobox is designed as a local household freezer inventory tool for recording frozen food items, photos, quantities, frozen dates, planned use dates, thawing notes, local reminders, comparison records, and coin activity.
Information Collected
We may process information you choose to create in the app, including food names, categories, quantities, units, freezer locations, frozen dates, planned use dates, notes, thawing notes, imported or captured photos, before-and-after freezer organization photos, compare records, coin balance, coin usage history, recharge history, app settings, and local profile information such as nickname or avatar.
We may also process technical information needed for product operation, including device information, iOS version, app version, StoreKit product identifiers, App Store transaction identifiers, signed transaction data, purchase status, notification permission status, remote push registration status, advertising identifier access status when tracking permission is requested, diagnostics, and support communications.
Permissions
Camera access is used only when you take a new freezer food photo or before-and-after organization photo.
Microphone access may be requested only if a capture flow on your device requires audio permission. Frobox does not record, save, upload, or analyze audio for its core freezer inventory features.
Photo Library access is used only when you import existing photos or save an export that you request.
Notification permission is used for local reminders and, where enabled, remote push notifications, such as planned use dates, overdue items, low-stock notices, or inventory review prompts. Remote push delivery may involve Apple's push notification service and a device push token used only for notification delivery.
Tracking permission may be requested through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any cross-app or cross-website tracking is used for attribution or promotion measurement. If you deny tracking permission, core freezer inventory features remain available.
The app does not require location, contacts, nearby device, Bluetooth, health, calendar, or social account permissions for its core freezer inventory features.
Reasons for Use
We use information so the app can save and display your freezer records, attach photos, calculate remaining quantities, show reminder states, create local compare views, export files when requested, process coin recharge purchases, prevent duplicate purchase fulfillment, troubleshoot errors, answer support requests, and protect purchase integrity.
Local Storage
Freezer records, photos, compare records, reminders, settings, local profile information, coin balance, coin usage history, purchase history, and fulfilled transaction identifiers are primarily stored in the app sandbox on your device.
Because the app is local-first, deleting the app or deleting local account data may remove records from the device. We recommend exporting or backing up important materials before deleting local data.
User Controls
You can add, edit, reduce quantity, mark finished, or delete freezer records in the app. You can change iOS permissions in the Settings app.
The app may provide controls to clear cache, delete exported temporary files, and delete the local account. Clearing cache removes temporary files and local exports while preserving inventory records, photos, coins, and settings. Deleting the local account removes local profile data, freezer records, photos, compare records, coin balance, coin history, export cache, and settings from the current device.
Purchases and Coins
Coin recharge purchases are processed through Apple StoreKit. The app uses verified transaction information to add coins to your wallet and avoid duplicate fulfillment. Coins are local in-app tool points for supported one-time actions, local capacity extensions, local exports, batch tools, comparison tools, and local statistics where available.
Coins have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, cannot be transferred to other users, and are not used for tips, gifts, rewards, social interaction, community content, or live features. App Store purchase records are managed by Apple and may remain available through your Apple account.
No Cloud or AI
Frobox is intended to work as a local project. The app does not use artificial intelligence to analyze your food records, does not provide cloud sync, and does not rely on a self-operated server to store your freezer inventory data.
Younger Users
The service is not designed for children below the required age threshold in their jurisdiction. If we learn that prohibited information from a child has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to address it.
Revisions
We may revise this statement as the product evolves. When material updates are made, the revised statement will replace the prior version in the app or on this page.
